Ø Current needs for Donations of Items in Madagascar

o In the highlands where the temperatures get very cold and there is no heating in houses, people often do not have enough clothes or blankets to keep them warm. Donations of warm clothes and blankets would be welcomed for women working in the centers in that area.
o Good quality scissors can not be found in Madagascar so the seamstresses would appreciate donations of good quality sewing scissors in order to make it easier to do the embroidery and sewing.
o One center, Fanja Broderie, has started a nursery for the children of the women working there. They would appreciate donations of toys (no games that require English language ability or toys that require batteries please) or preschool type picture books (with big, bold simple pictures). Crayons and coloring books would also work for the older ones at the nursery.
o Even basic toiletries are expensive for many Malagasy people. Donations of soap, shampoo, combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and lotion would be much appreciated by the women.
o A good quality paper cutter would be helpful for the labels, tags, and other paper items that are used in packaging.
